This is my life today. Black. And. White. Don’t know why. I love Black & White imagery. There’s something very appealing about the simplicity of it. It’s very honest. Life, however is never black & white – there’s billions of grey areas. Today I’m finding myself in one of those greys. Hopefully it will pass.

Good!! Morning!! Today!! Is!! Wednesday!!! YEY! As you know, I LOVE me some wednesdays! Because it’s not long until the weekend and I am currently literally living for the weekends! This weekend will be A LOT of fun as I have a Norwegian friend coming to stay with me. We are going to go to Westfield’s, Portobello road, the movies, the parties…basically all the lovely things London has to offer! Tonight I am going to have crispy duck, crispy shredded beef…it’s Chinese night! Can.Not.Wait! I LOVE Chinese! After that I am going to chill and watch Pride & Prejudice. Have not watched in forever. Did you guys also know that there is a Bollywood version for that film? Oh yes! It’s called Bride & Prejudice and it has a lot of good dancing! Enjoy!

G’Morning guys! How you doin’? Im good. However, I must apologise for the lack of “Weekly Workwear” for the past two weeks. Turns out, workwear doesn’t offer a possibility to be very creative and inspirational after all, shocker huh? I decided rather than to post a boring workwear outfit (waste of your and my time), I would wait until the I had the inspiration for some funky workwear outfits! So from now on, it could be “Monthly Workwear”, “Every Other Week Workwear”, “Weekly Workwear”….who knows?! Tonight I am going to Sevenoaks (my boyfriend’s hometown), we are going to watch a musical and have dinner. I have no idea which one as I am just along for the ride! Plus. It’s friday. And oh dear bloody god I LOVE FRIDAYS! Have a lovely weekend everybody!

April Issue, April Issue Vogue Paris, Fashion, Geraldine Saglio, Lachlan Bailey, Louis Vuitton, Magdalena Frackowiak, Mango, Model, Nina Ricci, Photography, Photoshoot, Rita Marmor, Vogue, Vogue Paris

Magdalena Frackowiak shows off her swimsuit-ready body in the beach shoot for the April issue of Vogue Paris. Magdalena pairs beach ready pieces with gorgeous knit from Louis Vuitton, Nina Ricci and Mango selected by fashion editor Geraldine Saglio. In front of Lachlan Bailey’s lens the polish beauty sparkles and her looks are even more perfected by hair stylist Rita Marmor.

Santa? Please. I promise I will be a nice girl for the rest of year and the next year and the year after (a very long time!) if you would only do a minor body switch? I’m sure nobody would noticed if I casually became Magdalena Frackowiak and she became me? Any objections to this change? I can’t hear any! Well then Santa whenever you are ready for a switch I am too! Go ahead! Any others (like me) who wouldn’t mind a body switch with fabulous women such as Candice Swanepoel or Rosie Huntington-Whiteley? Which model is your favourite? Please do tell!

Killer Eyes.

First apply on all fingers – Chanel 511 Pearl Drop. Afterwards make a round circle, on the middle of all the fingers – Chanel 513 Black Pearl. Then in the middle of this circle (with a very steady hand) – Chanel 461 Blue Satin. Finally make the eyelines and the eyelashes with Chanel Black Liquid Eyeliner. If you want to make the nail polish last even longer, it is also wise to put a transparent layer on top!

Meet my lovely friend Chi (or at least her fingernails). She came home with these nails last week and she has received mixed reviews; I personally love it, however, some of her friends consider it to be “creepy”. Oh well! We can’t always agree! So how is everybody? Tired? Join the club! Had a lovely weekend? I hope you did! Mine started on friday (as weekend’s tend to do!) with work drinks. When I came back after those, it turned out that my entire house had been drinking so we simply continued with tequila shots (without lime, lemon or salt). This should have given me a lovely hangover the next day, but luckily, it did not! So on saturday I went shopping with my girlfriends, before I went out for drinks. The drinks moved on to a party, but I decided not to go, very unlike me! And then on sunday I had a lovely walk in Hyde Park in the beautiful weather and I watched The Hunger Games. I know this is a “Must-See” film, however, I find the whole concept horrible. I have seen The Condemned before, which has exactly the same concept, but with criminals who are already sentenced to death. I thought that was fine as they are criminals and they were all going to die anyway, but innocent children? Not my cup of tea! Oh well! You should definitely go and see it and tell me what you think! Have a lovely day everybody!

New York Miniguide!

Hello everyone! Here is my New York Miniguide! When reading this please bear in mind that it was my first time in New York so I may not have discovered all the hidden spots just yet, but here’s a couple of things I would definitely recommend to those who are visiting for the first time! Happy reading!

Places to Stay

Hudson Hotel

We stayed at Hudson Hotel located in midtown, just steps from Central Park, Columbus Circle and the theatre district. Hudson is a brilliant reflection of the boldness and diversity of the city; it is stylish, young and contemporary. When you enter through the main doors, there is a luminous glass tunnel housing an escalator that transports you – literally – into a dreamy world! I would by all means recommend this hotel, it has a great location, service and is stylishly quirky!

Places to Eat

Lombardi’s

Lombardi’s offers amazing thin crust pizza’s for a cheap buck in Little Italy! I would give you one warning though, the portions are huge, definitely american size. You may easily share one large pizza between two. Besides that it is great value for money, swift service and overall a great meal!

Épicerie Boulud

Epicerie Boulud is a eat-in and take-out market place located at the southeast corner of Broadway and 64th Street, only minutes away from Hudson Hotel! This fabulous little space offers soups, salads, made to order sandwiches, breads, pastries and more. It is also the only place in New York I found Elderflower pressé, which I am madly addicted to. I definitely recommend having a quick lunch here and then visit one of the Century 21 branches which is located nearby!

Jean Georges

Jean Georges, the restaurant named after the extraordinary chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, is one of New York`s finest with 3 Michelin stars. Prepare to be open-mouthed whenever you’re not chewing as nothing you encounter will fail to awe from the simplest to the most complex dishes! However, be aware with great quality also comes a great price, so this restaurant is better intended for great occasions (such as after completing the New York Half Marathon).

Places to Shop

Centrury 21

Century 21 has two fantastic warehouses filled with brands for less! However, be aware that this is a time consuming shopping spot, it’s like a zoo for clothes, you need to look through a lot to find some hidden treasures! Good luck!

What Goes Around Comes Around

What Comes Around Goes Around offers a very refined selection of great pieces! Even though it offers Vintage (which some of you may read as “second-hand” or cheaper than usual) it is not inexpensive. This is a high-end boutique with many hidden treasures, however, be prepared to pay for the fine materials and sequins.

Saks Fifth Avenue

Saks Fifth Avenue is a world-famous department store filled with fantastic designers and limited editions, often only limited to Saks. This is a “must-see” in New York even if you are not interested in buying anything!

Things to Do

Classic Tourist Attractions

This is obviously boring news for all New Yorkers, however, for us mere mortals who do not live in this gorgeous city visiting the Stature of Liberty, Ellis Island, Empire State, The United Nations Building and much more is a must! These are taken from my visit to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, you may find photos of the other attractions here.

Madison Square Garden

I went to a boxing match, but the possibilities are endless for entertainment at Madison Square Garden.

I hope you have enjoyed my New York Miniguide and that you will find this useful if you go to New York in the future. Have a fantastic trip!
