inMorning! I’m sorry for not blogging anymore today, however, I hope you will be able to understand after today’s post. As many of you have realised I am very close to my family and some of you might wonder why when I speak of my “family” I refer only to my brother and father. That’s because unfortunately my mother is no longer with us.
On the 30th of June 2009 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. We were told that it was the “mildest” version of breast cancer and that they hoped after surgery, chemotherapy and radiation that she would be without it and we could continue our lives. After a nine month long cure she was. As far as we were aware. In May 2010 she collapsed completely into my fathers arms. He rushed her to hospital without any sign of her waking up. For the next 48 hours she was fast asleep. Within this time I experienced the worst memories of my life. My father called me that evening and told me that not only had she collapsed, the cancer that we thought were gone had spread to the brain and most likely she would never wake up. This was 2 weeks prior to my first exam in England and I had just received visitors from Norway, however, the same night I was on a flight back home.
When she woke up again we rushed her to the hospital in Oslo and I stayed with her for the following week until I had to return to England to complete my exams. The next year consisted of chemotherapy and radiation to slow down the cancer in the best possible way. Following all the medication she was taking came several epileptic attacks. She became gradually worse. In May last year, whilst she was at out cabin with my dad, she fell and broke her hip. That would be the last time she was outside hospital walls. My dad phoned me an told me he had brought her to the hospital for surgery. It all went well. However, the disease had spread so much that the mother I knew was gone. Her opinions, her determination and her character had been taken. The chances of her hip healing were minimal and she would have to stay in a care home if she wanted to continue her journey. My mother told us, when she was still at her senses a year back, that she would never, ever want to rest in a care home. Therefore we had to make the decision to cut off her medicine and leave her to intravenous therapy. However, this caused her to have epileptic attacks and in order to avoid them we had to cut off her intravenous therapy.
From the time they cut off both she would have maximum a week to live. When my dad told me they were cutting her off I had one more exam to go. However, I left all the paperwork and notifying to my boyfriend as I had to return home. Me and the rest of my family then spent several days with her at the hospital until she didn’t have any power left. On the 3rd of June at 16.45 my beloved mother fell permanently asleep.

Morning guys! I had an absolutely AWESOME dinner last night at Coq d’argent! It’s an awesome restaurant on one of the rooftops extremely close to Bank tube station. On a warm summer night, like the ones we are experiencing at the moment, that is the P.E.R.F.E.C.T place to have dinner! Trust me! Anyhow I’m so happy these days! The weather is fantastic, the weekend is approaching and I’m working out a lot outside. Speaking of, heading for the right now! Have fun in the sun everyone!

Good Morning! This has been a very busy weekend! As I told last week I attended the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners Step By Step course over the weekend. Hence it was a very busy weekend! It was a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in a career within Wedding Planning like me! I am now looking at buying some Wedding Planning books. Let me know of anyone know of any good ones?! I also want to look into getting any internship possible for free, so again. Let me know if anyone needs a hand in a wedding in the London area! I’m free! So that’s enough about wedding planning for today!
Last week I also bought a new Detox product called BioFirm. For those of you who don’t know what a detox is have a read here. You are supposed to use this product for 15 days (I didn’t buy the 30 day plan one!) whilst cutting down on unhealthy food. I’m excited to see if I feel cleansed afterwards! Also. Did I tell you? Today it is exactly 3 weeks until me and my boyfriend leave for the Italian Lakes so I’ve decided to cut sweets completely for the next 3 weeks! My boyfriend doesn’t consider that to be impressive. Clearly he doesn’t know what it’s like to be a sugar-craving Norwegian. I will be impressed by myself! I will update you guys daily of how this goes. Hopefully well! We all need some inspiration now before the bikini-season royally kick’s in! Anyways. Have a lovely Monday guys!

Join me and many others by running and raising money to help more people survive!
Pssstt…if you don’t want to enter, you can raise money on my site by clicking here. I know I have only put down £1 as target, but I didn’t want to bind myself to anything considering that the race is so near!

inDear Chocolates & Raspberries readers!
Please allow me to introduce myself as how I am known among my friends, I am know as The Gribbler! You might wonder what on earth that means. Well actually, the name came from a friend of mine (who you might have seen commenting like a ludacris in my “In the Mist” post) who I worked with during my previous placement. He decided my name simply wasn’t appropriate for me so it went from Guro to Gruro to Griro to finally The Gribbler! Now you might wonder what this nickname of mine mean’s…Well…take a look at the perception the urbandictionary had…
1. A Gribbler is….
a person who is too intoxicated by drugs to properly function in society. symptoms can be the inabilty to hold a basic conversation, or to sit still for a prelonged amount of time. adj. gribbled
– by six in the morning he was a total gribbler he was gribbled off his tits
2. A Gribbler is….
{The Gribbler does NOT enjoy beer}
A female and i use the term lightly, that is so repulsive u’d probably rather eat a leprosy victim at the end of their disease.
– Oh my god Wozza, can’t believe you went with that Gribbler last nite, what is the matter with you?
– Holy shit she’s a Gribler.
3. A Gribbler is…
{My girlfriends decided to pose in my clothes for my Christmas present back in 2008. I had horrible fashion sense. Simple as!}
A particularly smelly breed of crusty hippy / new age drop out. Defined by long dread locks and hemp clothes.
– ‘eurgh it smells like gribblers in here’
I am SO lucky to have that nickname don’t I? Ahhh well! I must admit, the meanings are rather hilarious. That is my nickname, what is yours?

inGood morning everybody! Feeling fresh? I hope so! So I thought I would start off the day by sharing the photos of me and my dad running through the streets of New York! If anybody had any doubt about whether or not I was telling the truth (I know I don’t really look like a marathon runner kind of girl!), you may now see proof of both my medal and my running! The most magical feeling during this race was when we ran out of Central Park on to 7th avenue and through time square. That was honestly magnificent! We had the whole square to ourselves, such a novelty!
I would definitely recommend running a half marathon, a marathon or any kind of race which would be a challenge to you. It’s so rewarding when you have crossed the finish line and know you have given it your best shot! Not so nice the days after when you can’t walk properly, but, no pain, no gain! Enjoy your day everybody no matter if you are running, swimming or relaxing in a sunbed!
